Lemon Garlic Hummus


Hummus is a versatile dish that can be flavored in a multitude of ways. This recipe highlights lemon flavors. Serve with pita, fresh veggies, or with kebabs.


Lemon Garlic Hummus


  • 1 15-ounce can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

  • 1/3 cup tahini

  • 3-4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • salt and pepper, to taste


Combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and cumin in a food processor. Pulse until finely chopped. With the motor running, slowly pour in the oil. Puree until semi-smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper.


Refrigerate until ready to use.
