Rice Pudding

Make this rice pudding with any milk you please. We served it with oat milk but any milk will work well.



Rice Pudding


3 cups dairy or non dairy milk (unsweetened)

1 cinnamon stick

1/3 to 1/2 cup sugar, depending on sweetness

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup long grain rice

cinnamon, ground, for dusting

dried fruit and/or nuts as desired


In a saucepan, combine the milk, cinnamon stick, sugar, and vanilla. Steep for 15 minutes over medium low heat. Remove the cinnamon stick.


Add the rice to the milk. Simmer, stirring frequently to prevent burning, until the rice is tender, about 20-30 minutes. Add additional sugar or honey as desired. Sprinkle with more cinnamon. Add dried fruit and/or nuts before serving. Rice pudding can be served warm or cold.
